U.S. Department of Health and Human Services-Health Resources and Services Administration under the Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (or the HRSA-SDS) Program

The College received a $332,009 grant from the HRSA-SDS Program. This year’s SDS grant provided scholarships this fall to 168 qualified students in the average amount of $1,976.00 each. Since July 2008, the College has received  four HRSA-SDS grants totaling in excess of 1.87 million dollars in SDS funds that has resulted in the distribution of 509 grants to qualified students with an average award of $3,691.38. These awards are distributed over a two semester period.
