Interim Department Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Mansoor Khan, Ph.D.
Dr. Khan is an internationally recognized researcher and leader in the areas of controlled drug delivery and formulations, 3D printed medications, nanoparticulates, Quality by Design and process analytical technologies, and pediatric dosage forms. With over 300 scientific, peer-reviewed publications to his credit, Dr. Khan has a stellar research record as a Senior Biomedical Research Sciences (SBRS) Scientist and is a Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
As a licensed pharmacist and a tenured professor, Dr. Khan has wide-ranging talent and expertise for the pharmacy profession and a profound understanding of research and practice needs in a professional academic setting. In addition to his FDA experience, Dr. Khan served as a tenured full professor and founding director of the graduate program at Texas Tech University HSC School of Pharmacy. His experience and success in research will be instrumental to leading the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and strengthening the research program in this interim period until a permanent head is named.
