Experiential Education Coordinator, Bryan/College Station campus
The Experiential Education Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, managing, and implementing of the Texas A&M Rangel College of Pharmacy’s expanding experiential education program, including Introductory (IPPE) and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) in Bryan/College Station. The Coordinator will oversee operations at several different levels in order to establish and maintain a functional and efficient experiential program. The Coordinator will interact with students, preceptors, faculty, administrators, staff, and other stakeholders. This individual will participate in the experiential education teaching and coordinate quality assurance processes associated with experiential education, including on-site visitations; and will assist with the delivery and assessment of preceptor development activities. Displaying professional and positive interpersonal skills and establishing a positive and supportive environment conducive to student learning and success are essential. The Experiential Education Coordinator will be a member of the Office of Experiential Education which functions within the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
The successful candidate will have a doctorate of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; hold an active pharmacist license; have a minimum of three years of experience in a pharmacy practice setting, including that of a management and/or supervisory nature. Experience of precepting pharmacy students is preferred. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. While this is an administrative position, faculty rank is negotiable.
