Faculty for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bryan/College Station campus
The Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy welcomes applications for a faculty position in the field of Pharmaceutics. The faculty member will serve in a newly created pharmaceutics position in College Station. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include significant contributions to pharmaceutics-related courses and assisting in other courses as per the needs of the college in the delivery of its professional pharmacy curriculum including: didactic instruction; team-based and other active learning activities; designing and conducting sterile product and compounding laboratory activities; participating in laboratory skills assessment exercises; student mentoring and advising; establishing a positive and supportive environment conducive to student learning and success. Faculty members are expected to utilize active learning methodologies. The successful candidate will have opportunities to engage in collaborative research opportunities within the Pharmaceutical Consortium and contribute to the service mission of the College and the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Faculty members will have access to assigned laboratory and equipped office space. Start-up funds will be provided, and there will be opportunities for conducting applied and contract research.
Successful candidates will have earned a PhD in pharmaceutics or related field with practical experience commensurate with the rank applied. The position provides opportunities for individuals with a strong commitment to an academic career with an equal emphasis on instruction and research. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates with post-doctoral research experience, previous experience teaching doctorate of pharmacy students, a pharmacy background, and a track record of effective scholarship and research interests that complement the strengths of the College will be given preference.
