Health Care Symposium

The Cultural Diversity Committee sponsors an inter-professional symposium each spring semester at Santa Gertrudis School. Health care students, such as nursing students and medical student, participate as committee members present cases about the professions contribution as a whole to the health care system as well as expanding cultural diversity in the health care field.

More about this year's event.

Some topics that will be discussed include “Diverse Culture and Religious Practices in Providing Patient Care,” “Multicultural Issues in Communication Sciences and Disorders,” and “Hispanic OTC Products and Resources for Your Hispanic Patients.”

The Cultural Diversity Committee’s mission and purpose is to assist the office of institutional advancement in developing, implementing and supporting programs that have a positive impact and inspire more diversity within the college and surrounding communities, with funds provided by the Walgreens Diversity initiative.
