Office of the Dean
Welcome to the Texas A&M Rangel College of Pharmacy!
It is my honor and privilege to serve as founding dean for this College and the diverse group of faculty, staff, students, preceptors and alumni that make up the core of the Texas A&M Rangel College family. As you peruse our website, you will no doubt find an impressive array of faculty expertise, research, service and outreach activities. Equally impressive is the level of student engagement through various organizational and professional activities.
I am delighted to share with you that our College has received acclaim for its state-of-the-art integrated curriculum, innovative admissions process, exemplary experiential education, impressive preceptor network, and comprehensive assessment program that is geared toward overall programmatic excellence. The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education reaffirmed Full Accreditation Status for our professional pharmacy program in June 2012, which is effective through June 2016.
Many exciting events have occurred in our College since inception in 2006. In addition to establishing a superior professional pharmacy program, the College opened a pharmaceutical research facility in the fall of 2010 for our faculty members pursuing cutting-edge research. Our faculty researchers have been awarded more than $3 million in extramural grants. Recently, the College was ranked among the Top 50 pharmacy programs in the nation, per the US News and the World Report.
As the first professional college established in South Texas, we are deeply committed to advancing an exemplary pharmacy program and we are greatly excited about our future!
I invite you to browse through our website and learn more about our program. If you are interested in scheduling a personal visit to our campus, I invite you to call my office at (361) 221-0600 or email the College at firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope that you will consider the Texas A&M Rangel College of Pharmacy as a place to learn, grow, and reach your maximum potential!
