Office of Finance and Administration

The Office of Finance and Administration is a strategic administrative unit that works in collaboration with the Texas A&M Health Science Center to provide quality services in order to meet the needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Pharmacy. Finance and Administration has the responsibility of combining resources and allocating them effectively to accomplish the goals of the College.
The Office of Finance and Administration is responsible for addressing general financial accounting needs for the College of Pharmacy, including coordinating and/or preparing various financial reports. The office staff consists of the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration, a Business Coordinator I, and an Administrative Secretary. To keep pace with the needs of the College and to provide quality services in an efficient manner, the office is also responsible for the purchasing and Human Resources functions. The Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration reports to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
General funding for the College of Pharmacy is derived from state funds approved during the state legislative session. These funds are allocated through the Health Science Center directly to the College of Pharmacy. Funds for research are provided through competitive research awards to individual faculty. Additional sources of funding may include donations, foundations, and corporate partnerships.
